| Dibasic Lead Stearate(DBLS) also known as Basic Lead Stearate is a fine white Powder used in PVC Compounds, Rigid PVC Pipes & cables, PVC Profiles & Flooring, PVC Footwear, Master Batches. Dibasic lead Stearate imparts good heat stability to the compounds in which it is used due to its high free PbO content. It also provides lubricating action at high temperatures as it does not melt in normal service conditions. It is used in combinations with other stabilizers. it is usually used in the manufacture of rigid PVC compounds, extrusion and also plasticized PVC products. |
STEARIC ACID
Stearic Acid
Stearic acid is a saturated fatty acid with an 18-carbon chain and has the IUPAC name octadecanoic acid. It is a waxy solid and its chemical formula is C17H35CO2H.
Stearic acid is obtained from fats and oils by the saponification of the triglycerides using hot water (about 100 °C). The resulting mixture is then distilled. Commercial stearic acid is often a mixture of stearic and palmitic acid although purified stearic acid is available.
